Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

This is your chance to own a robot vacuum. CNET's top-rated models are available for sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with savings of up to 57%..

The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping using apps-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most advanced robot to date is the Roomba J7+. The most significant innovation is its camera-based obstacle-detection technology. It makes use of AI to detect objects like charging cords and shoes.  automatic vacuum 's the first robot to provide you with images of objects that it encounters, so that you can tell the robot to avoid it.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we have ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills effortlessly and leaves no trace of it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. You can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't clean in areas you don’t wish to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it with a voice.

Its design is superior to the rest and features a sleek, top piece that appears more like a toy than a loud, obnoxious one. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System automatically empty, which is great to speed up cleaning.

In our tests, we found that the j7+ swiftly took away dirt, dust, and hair from pets. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one location rather than sending it scattering all over the floor. It even managed to catch small gravel and sand, which most other robots couldn't do. And it did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair shed.

The j7+, although not as smart as the $1,217 Roomba S9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and can't clean the stairs, is a good option for those who want both mopping and vacuum. It's not expensive, and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly to use.

Although the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly however we've found it be less reliable than other apps that use robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates, and sometimes it's difficult to know if the update is actually working until you've seen it in the action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking for a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, your most effective option is likely to be hybrid. These bots are equipped with a tank of water so they can mop and vacuum simultaneously. These bots also come with many additional features, including smart mapping and small object avoidance and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. They're expensive at retail, but they often are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock makes several of our top robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ doesn't fail to impress. It's their cheapest auto-empty model, and although it's not equipped with certain features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing to compromise a bit in order to save some hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is noticeably gentle around obstacles like table legs and walls which makes it a good option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough when it comes to cleaning up dust bunnies, which is an area where many cheaper robot vacuums fall short. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is fantastic too, with very little missing in corners and along walls.

The Q5+, as with other Roborock products, can be controlled by a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. The app allows you to start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go areas, adjust your home map, or change the room's label.

If you choose to purchase the Q5+, it ships with a new auto-empty dock, which was specifically designed to make this robot easy to maintain. It requires a screwdriver for install, but once installed, the process of emptying the bin is simple. It also has an impressive LCD display which is great to have when creating schedules or changing settings. This isn't a necessary feature for everyone but it can help you keep track of the maintenance intervals for your robot effortlessly.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever, well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design and function are some of the top available - but it's also pricey.

Its base station looks good and is hidden when it's not in use, and its size is relatively compact. The main reason to buy the station is that it automates many tasks, functions and chores that other robots leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot clean and charged.

Its vacuuming capabilities are also impressive. It's one of the few robot vacuums I've tested that do a really good job of picking up debris on unfinished floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means it can get stuck or confused in certain corners or rooms of the house. It's not able to navigate stairs as well as some competitors, and doesn't come with a dock that lets the user to set up an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for plush carpets.

While it doesn't offer as many in terms of cleaning options available in its app, or as many shortcuts within the app like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for an all-around great mop and robot vacuum that's worth the higher price tag.

If you're looking to save money or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are many other options available. A lot of eufy models are significantly less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for example, is cheaper and offers a similar in-app experience with more features, including the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and superior overall vacuuming performance on bare floors and low and high-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy, an Anker company is a long-standing leader of producing robot vacuums that strike the right balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning on hard floors and carpets and mopping function too at a reasonable price. It's easy to set it up, simply attach one of the side brushes and turn it on, then plug in your charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock should be located near an outlet with plenty of room to move.

The G30 is a compact device that measures 2.85 inches in height, meaning it is able to be tucked away under couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design is more subtle in comparison to other models. It features a sleek black finish and three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral pattern for two minutes), Recharge and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to do unscheduled cleaning with voice commands.

The way the G30 cleans is what separates it from other models. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of immovable objects in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning where it left off.

The eufy G30 has its flaws however. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower monthly costs. It is faster to charge, has a similar battery life, and performs better on bare carpet or floors with low pile. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't require to be emptied as frequently and comes with an array of boundary strips to keep it away from certain areas. The G30, on the other hand is less expensive and a lot easier to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't need to be empty as often and has less difficulty with bulky items like cereal.
